Annabel Mumba and Estelle Atkinson co-author a blog on their perspectives on the Black Lives Matter movement in their respective communities in Zambia and the U.S.

Does the colour of one’s skin determine the kind of opportunities one will receive or how they will be treated both in society and under the law?

The resulting Black Lives Matter protests made me realize that we are actually fighting against each other and not a "certain race." So to be a part of dialogue and to support in solidarity these demonstrations, some of my colleagues and our youth leaders shared their thoughts and feelings.

Today, she provides a first person account of how 278 families received food for three weeks just in time before a COVID-19 lockdown started on April 15th, 2020 in Kafue, Zambia.
