Engaging with our girls and boys through sponsorship can be very rewarding, but a trip to Africa is oftentimes a life-changing experience. When longtime friend and supporter of AEP, Karen DelRaso, asked if we would like to collaborate with her on a photography project, we were all in! We recently interviewed Karen about her work and inspiration for this project.

AEP’s Donor Relations Coordinator in Zambia, Annabel Mumba, sat down with several of Amos Youth Centre’s student mentors to find out what mentoring meant to them as we observe National Mentoring Month this January.

The smile was evident on the girls faces as they received the amazing news about the menstrual packages that they were going to receive.

Annabel Mumba is AEP’s Donor Relations Coordinator in Zambia. Today, she shares the success of one of AEP’s Read for Rose program beneficiaries, Winnie. Thanks to Febby, our amazing special education teacher, Winnie is now attending a special boarding school for the blind and visually impaired.
