The Scholarship Program creates opportunity for our Mwalii Leaders (girls and boys and young women and men) to access all of the after-school programs, including quality academic tutoring and leadership development, offered at the African Education Program’s (AEP’s) flagship Learning & Leadership Center in Kafue, Zambia.

After a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, AEP’s Board Member, Marie Odile Savarit, returned to Kafue to once again work with the beloved children and staff at AEP’s Learning & Leadership Center, the Amos Youth Centre (AYC). January is recognized as National Mentoring Month. Creating a culture of mentorship at AEP's Learning and Leadership Center in Kafue (Amos Youth Centre) has long been a priority. Here is a look at how the Mwalii Leaders have embraced mentorship and how it continues to be celebrated and instilled in the youth that are in AEP’s Nyali Scholarship Program.
